How do you get inspired to write?

Jennifer Geoghan So far most of the stories I've written were inspired by real events in my life. My series, The Purity of Blood, was inspired by my desire to meet my ancestors. As an avid genealogist, it's been a fantasy for a long time to meet my great, great, great, great grandparents. Using that fantasy, I created a way to bring them into the present day and so they are main characters in my series.
In my current book project, I've based it on my real life experience with a scam artist I was wooed by on Match.com.
