For aspiring writers, all I can suggest is that write only in your free time and spend the rest of time honestly on your job or occupation. There is no hurry since we have a long way to extinction.
Never leave your job to write full time unless you have built your house, educated your children to stand on their own feet, and have a nest egg ensuring that neither you nor your spouse will starve to death during your lifetime!
Remember that nothing is certain in your life including certainty that your wonderful book will generate enough income for you!
