How do you get inspired to write?

Kaitlin Bevis Theatrical trailers tend to be a great starting point for me. They'll plant the seeds for an idea that twists into something entirely different than the movie. I also do a lot of driving since we live so far out of town, and on those drives I'll be thinking through scenes and talking through the dialogue. Once I get home it's just a matter of putting what I said out loud down on paper.
