How do you get inspired to write?

Ben G. Price Ancient Greek writers spoke of their muse. It's something like that for me. I've developed a process for tapping into my unconscious mind. One of my practices is, when I am unclear about where to go with a story, character, or worl of non-fiction, I intentionally ask a question before going to sleep, and I go to sleep with that question in mind. Most times I find the way forward the next day. It just comes to me like it was always there. As for what to write about -- that is inspired by constant curiosity, study, meditation on ideas.
