Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Barbara Ellin Fox Because I live in the Kansas City area which is the home of Hallmark, I thought it would be fun to write a story that takes place here with Hallmark books in mind but Hallmark Publishing quit before I was ready to submit. Last Wish is based on an area named Brookside which is near the Country Club Plaza. The story is about a woman who runs a bakery that makes horse and dog treats. She has a passion for helping animal rescues and is a community organizer for all things pet related. But she has a secret that b egins to unravel when her high school sweetheart returns.
