Hi Brenda, I'm in love with your fire and ice series. I was wondering if you ever thought about writing a 6th book based on Lauren the "puck slut". Maybe how she didn't get a hockey player and settled for something less?

Brenda Rothert Hi Kristen! This is a great question - I've actually had a few requests for a book about Lauren, and I'd definitely consider it. I'm a big fan of redemption in books, and I'd like to see Lauren make a turnaround. Another of my books featured a former Mean Girl heroine, and she remains one of my favorite characters ever. At the root of the bad behavior of people like Lauren is insecurity, and I like the process of exploring where that comes from and what can diminish it.
I'm working on a novella for an upcoming anthology, and then I'll be starting my new On the Line hockey series. But if something grabs me, I often work it in somehow, and it's very possible that could happen with Lauren. I'm also considering a short work with deleted and bonus scenes from all the Fire on Ice books, and something featuring Lauren would be a great fit there.
