Hi! What are some of your favorite anime films or TV series? Did you ever consider adapting your work for animation? And last, do you play video games? Cheers!

Oh, I have a bunch of fave anime. Paprika is probably my favorite feature, though of course I also like most of the Studio Ghibli offerings. Series include but are not limited to Mushi-Shi, Otogi Zoshi, The GokuSen, Wallflower, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi, Antique Bakery, Junjo Romantica, Mirage of Blaze, Shonen Onmyoji... As a general rule I have no use for giant fighting robots in any form, fighting samurai (Samurai Champloo excepted), ultra-violence, grimdark, or horror, though sufficiently Japanese folklore horror sometimes gets a pass.
Since I am not an anime producer, adapting my work is not up to me -- media adaptations are a buyer's market. But I have long thought Falling Free would be good in that medium.
No video games. I sampled Dragon Warrior and a few others back in the 80s, and quickly realized that if I got any further into this, my kids would die, my house would burn down, and my nascent career would go down the toilet. So I have missed the train on gaming.

One thing that struck me in the WGW series was Dag denying that he had to return to the Lakewalkers and fight malices with them their way because he was necessary the cause, and said that it should never get to the point where any one person is indispensable. Now it seems there are quite a few people all over the political spectrum insisting that they are indispensable. Any thoughts on Being the MC vs group effort?

Do you have any cross-references between locations in the Sharing Knife series and locations in "our" world? Some are obvious, e.g. Graymouth = New Orleans, and of course the Grace and Gray rivers are the Ohio and Mississippi but I'd love to try to visualize where Lumpton / West Blue / Hickory Lake and so on would be found.

In Captain Vorpatril's Alliance, where Morozov explains Ivan's relation to the Barrayaran throne*camp stool--can't puzzle out why Prince Xav wasn't next in line for the throne after Emperor Yuri, rather than going over to whatever branch led to Ezar? I know in the past it's been referenced that Salic descent was important for disqualifying Miles, but isn't that related to descent thru Olivia Vorbarra etc?
