Goodreads asked April Daniels:

How do you get inspired to write?

April Daniels I have always written. Now, I realize it's for my own therapy. I write things down on paper (not a computer, for me it has to be pen on paper). Frequently once it's down, I have more of an objective eye. I can see the issue or the problem with more clarity. Sometimes, the answers come to me instantly.

Other times, I simply put it down. At least it's not rattling around in my mind--interring with my day. When I got back to it, I can add more questions, or add more thoughts and insights.

And, as my journaling and writing indicates in Paperdolls, sometimes I simply have to take my writing in to a professional therapist to help me sort it out.
