What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Mike Bushman I enjoy the opportunity to meet new people and engage in deep conversations spurred by writing. With "Suicide Escape," I found a story that freed many long-time friends and family members to confide in me about their struggles with depression, knowing that I would understand or at least not judge their experience. My politically oriented writing has introduced me to hundreds of people from all walks of life who have enriched my thinking.
