How do you get inspired to write?

Wendy Percival I'm not sure I need to 'get' inspired. I just like writing. Even if I'm in the middle of a long haul and trying to get through yet another draft, once I sit down and get on with it, I get lost in the 'zone' very quickly. Having a really exciting idea and plotting it out is 'extra' inspirational. Having my characters put 'words' in my head as I'm typing or suddenly seeing how to solve a plot point is also inspirational. That's the fun of it.
