What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Vanessa Zian Creating a fun "friend" group with my characters is addicting. It's like imaginary friends for grown-ups--people that I wish existed in real life, but that I get to hang out with during the course of the book. I really love thinking about what a reader wants to dive into in their precious spare time, who they might want to feel are their "friends" for a moment as well. I know what I like to be entertained by, and I like to (at least try to!) deliver on that.
