How do you get inspired to write?

Layla Dorine So many things inspire me. Music, a walk in the woods, sunsets, reading, fishing, gardening, pottery, I get inspired while I cook, there is just no end, really to the things that spark a story. I don't think its a matter of getting inspired to write, I just write when the characters start talking. Usually it's with a 'what if' type of mentality, because I write to see what happens next. The characters drive the story, I just record it and I have days when I'm shocked to see where the story ends up.
