Ah, you’ve stumbled into Karl May’s world and discovered what an incredible storyteller he turned out to be. As a translator, I include myself and often feel that I’ve been caught up in the suspense and intrigue of this author’s work.
The next instalment, The Foundling( currently undergoing translation), gives the reader more insight into Richard’s past, and his quest to solve his father’s disappearance, as well as unravelling the mystery of Franz’s heritage.
Not to be outdone, our nemesis, Captain Richemonte isn’t done yet.
