The thing I love most about being a writer, is the ability to live in someone else's shoes for a while! Occupying someone else's mind is a wonderful thing, and that's exactly what I try to do when I'm fleshing out a new character. For me, writing is a peaceful experience, a serene reprieve from the chaos of everyday life. Quite frankly, even if I'd never ended up published, I know I could never give up writing because it's woven so tightly into my personality:)

You successfully wove the honest, and bitterly tragic history of the Windy City to life, and placed the reader into the shoes of your protagonist... ...brilliant! I love history, the major and minor events. I will send your story to my niece your book as she is an avid reader. As a writer I hope that one day I might find one my stories beside yours on the bookstore shelves.
