Hello, and thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Have you read my first book, THE PECULIAR INCIDENT ON SHADY STREET? Given that you lived in Chicago and enjoy hearing about lesser known history, that one might appeal to you as well! Also, YES! Always planning for future books and I'll definitely be writing more about the Windy City and it's haunted past! Thanks for reading!

Hello, Noah! I'm honored to hear that you enjoyed SCRITCH SCRATCH and that you're looking forward to WHAT LIVES IN THE WOODS! While I don't have any ARC's currently, you are welcome to request it from my publisher on Edelweiss if you have an account, or on NetGalley when it goes live there in May. Thank you!

I'm so happy you enjoyed Tessa's story, Soham! Some elements of Peculiar Incident were inspired by my childhood - namely Nina! I was a quirky kid, always interested in the things other kids weren't interested in, so I did work some of that into her character! And I have always been into ghosts and ghost stories, so there's a little of me in that as well. I hope you enjoy my next release - Scritch Scratch, out September 1, just as much!

Haha, totally understand! Adam’s virtual tours have gotten so popular and I’m thrilled with that. He is so knowledgeable and gets folks interested in our city’s strange and often spooky history! So many viewers these days. So kind of him to have given my books a shout-out :)

Hello, Mary! Yes, I do know Adam! Adam is a fellow Simon & Schuster author, as well as a historian, and I credit him for assisting with a lot of my research on both THE PECULIAR INCIDENT ON SHADY STREET and my forthcoming book, SCRITCH SCRATCH. In fact, when writing SCRITCH SCRATCH, I rode along on a ghost tour bus that Adam was running at the time - that bus and tour inspired the "Spirits" bus in my book!

At the moment, yes. However, that might change in the near future!

Hi Melissa!
CREED is fully fabricated and actually originated from a dream my co-author had, but we are aware that cults do exist in various forms all over the world. That's what drew us to write this particular story - the "it could happen" aspect is scary, perhaps scarier than your typical slash and gore horror is. We love a good monster as much as the next guy, but we also love exploring the darkness of the human mind!

Currently, I'm working on copyedits to CREED with my co-author, and I recently just finished some revisions to a solo book of mine which is a contemporary romantic thriller called JAMMED.

I get inspired to write by listening to music that reminds me of my current WIP, and also by using Pinterest! I love choosing images that reflect scenes or ideas from my books:)

Great question! Our process is a bit different than some co-authors in the sense that we do not alternate by chapter, rather pass the manuscript back and forth whenever it feels most appropriate. This could be at a chapter break, yes, but it could also be in the middle of a chapter. Because we do not write dual point of view, my co-author and I are fortunate to have a similar writing style so the book is seamless and our readers can't tell who wrote what:) Thanks for the question! Keep them coming!

The thing I love most about being a writer, is the ability to live in someone else's shoes for a while! Occupying someone else's mind is a wonderful thing, and that's exactly what I try to do when I'm fleshing out a new character. For me, writing is a peaceful experience, a serene reprieve from the chaos of everyday life. Quite frankly, even if I'd never ended up published, I know I could never give up writing because it's woven so tightly into my personality:)
