Goodreads asked Sybil Powell:

How do you get inspired to write?

Sybil Powell I try to draw inspiration from a need actual, or imagined.

For example 'Inshallah' was stimulated from misunderstanding of the Saudi Arab way of life by expatriate and ended up as an exciting love story to show the different approaches to life of both sides.

The Evergreen series were drawn from the research my husband and I did when we planned to buy a hotel. It also was inspired by an imagenery life where from the worst possible start a girl reaches the very top of her industry only to reject it all for love and a rural life.

Seducing Judy was inspired by a number of situations in a factory I worked in. Non with the dire consequences in the book actually occurred in real life but it was an opportunity to include the dangers of a war torn mind.

Life with my Newfoundlands is a book wholly devoted to my dogs and how we enjoyed each others company.

That's how my books come to be written, I hope they inspire you in their different ways.
