I'm currently working on two true crime books. The first is on Houston's Ana Trujillo case, one the press dubbed The Stiletto Murder. Ana is convicted of murdering Stefan Andersson, a brilliant scientist, a medical researcher, by pummeling him with her high heel. I've uncovered evidence that much more was going on in this case than was ever revealed in the intense media coverage.
The second book I'm working on made national, front-page headlines, the Kaufman County, Texas, murders of a district attorney, his wife, and the top prosecutor. It's a strange case of revenge with tragic results. Eric Williams, a justice of the peace, and his wife, Kim, have been convicted in the killings.
