Was there a teacher or somebody that sparked you into making your masterpieces, like who inspired you to make above world, or how did you come up with such good ideas and events that unfolded?!?!? Big fan of the above world series ofc

Jenn Reese Hi, Jackson! I didn't start writing until I was older (almost 30!), so I can't say a teacher inspired me. I did grow up playing games like Dungeons & Dragons and reading lots of science fiction and fantasy, though. I've always enjoyed making characters and worlds. The ABOVE WORLD trilogy was me just letting myself have fun with things that I love: mythology, science fiction, and martial arts. And of course I love writing about found families and amazing friends, and people recognizing their own strengths. I love all of those characters so much, and I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed the books, too! It was a dream of mine to write something that would inspire people the way books inspired me when I was in middle school and high school. Thank you so much for writing to me.
