What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Jessica Alter The best thing about being a writer is proving that daydreamers have a special place in the world. I was a daydreamer as a little girl, and I enjoyed the wonderful adventures which science fiction and fantasy novels provided. As I grew older, I thought about what I would like to see as the continuation of the story. "The End" was never the end for me. I learned how to take those daydreams and put them into words.

It's why I like to tell writers: "Keep your daydream job."
