Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Steven Cross I've been wanting to write a book about mental illness, bullying, and suicide for years, but it has always been too tough for me to do it. I had a friend who kill himself when we were in middle school. I don't think I've ever been able to write about it before. Though this book is fictionalized, I have seen and experienced horrific bullying in my lifetime.
