This is really a good question. I think I would go to the Shire. I wouldn't want to deal with all the other stuff, but I think it would be cool to live with the Hobbits for a while. They seem so happy, and they really care for each other.

He awoke with a splitting headache, but knowing he could not miss another day of work, he staggered into the bathroom to shave. When he looked at himself, he staggered backward because his forehead was rolling like the waves in the ocean, and then blood exploded all over the mirror.

I am reading some verse novels because they are a genre that interests me. I also expect to read the sequel to The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothenfuss. Recently, I read a novel by Neil Gaiman, and I would like to explore what else he has done.

This one's hard for me because for various reasons I won't go into I have a very short attention span, and I lose interest in a project pretty quickly. Usually, something I read or see on television can inspire me. Sometimes an idea comes to me out of the blue. Inspiration is hard to get a handle on.

This question was asked two years ago. I don't know how I missed it, but it's still relevant today. I'm working on a horror screenplay called More Things in Heaven and Earth (working title) and a MG novel Tongue Tied.

Creating worlds and people. I think it makes me feel like I have a touch of the divine within me.

I haven't honestly had a lot of mystery in my life. I've led an average, generally fulfilling life as an educator. I am bipolar, and I take medication to control it, which it does mostly. I have often wondered if the person I am on medication is the person I was meant to be or if it has changed some fundamental part of me. I don't know if that's a good answer or not, but it is a mystery to me. What would I be like now if not for my meds?

I am a big fan of YA literature. That is what I generally read. Eleanor and Park probably. I also like the Odd Thomas series which touches on the theme of eternal love.

I'll be happy to. The book doesn't officially come out until April 7. As soon as I can I will ship it to you. If you would like, you can go onto my facebook page and p.m. me with an email address, and I will go ahead and send you an ARC version. It is basically an ebook without the cover and the other fineries. Then, when the paperback is ready I will send it to you.

The best advice I can give to aspiring writers is, "Learn your craft." There are good writers producing wonderful material every day. Don't waste years refusing to learn, refusing to accept constructive criticism, and refusing to believe that improvement is always possible. Secondly, write. Write everyday -- even if it is only for half an hour or an hour. Find something you love writing and read all you can - fiction, nonfiction. Finally, hang in there. Writing isn't an easy way of life, and if you're not willing to put in the time and effort, you won't be successful.

I don't always deal with writer's block well, but I can offer a couple of recommendations. Always work on more than one project so that if you get stuck on one, you can work on the other. Also, leave your writing each day at a point of high suspense or interest so that you can pick up right where you left off very easily. The most important thing I can tell you is write every single day. It's like exercising. If you stop, it takes twice as long to get back into the habit.

I've been wanting to write a book about mental illness, bullying, and suicide for years, but it has always been too tough for me to do it. I had a friend who kill himself when we were in middle school. I don't think I've ever been able to write about it before. Though this book is fictionalized, I have seen and experienced horrific bullying in my lifetime.
