Where did you get the idea for Boom Town?

Glenn Rolfe Hey, Ty! I got the idea watching the news! It was maybe 12 or so years ago now, there was a town in Wisconsin experiencing small earthquakes. The kept referring to them as these nightly "booms". I never knew they had earthquakes in Wisconsin, so my brain started wondering what could be causing them. I'm a huge fan of alien horror like Invasion of the Bodys Snatchers and The Blob. I decided to follow that thread and it led to this story.
