Amalia asked Linwood Barclay:

Hello, Mr. Barclay! I am a little late to the game, I just finished No Time for Goodbye and I think this book is brilliant, absolutely fascinating, so thank you! I was curious - what made you decide to tell the story through Terry s eyes rather than Cynthia s? Did you feel his perspective allowed readers to experience the mystery in a different or more effective way? thank you!

Linwood Barclay I wrote that book 19 years ago, so I might not recall why I made the choices I did, but I think writing from Terry's point of view meant we shared his anxiety and puzzlement about what happened to Cynthia. If I told the story from her perspective, we'd lose the uncertainty about whether she might have had something to do with her family's disappearance. That book was just made into a TV series in France, by the way, called Cette suit-la. Thanks for the kind words.
