How do you deal with writer’s block?

Erica Vetsch Usually, my writer's block happens when I reach a point in the story that is either HUGE, and I know I have to get it right or the story will fall apart, OR I have hit a part of the story where I've diffused the conflict too much. Either way, I have to just plunge on.

If it is a matter of not having any ideas for new stories, then I just go to my bookshelves of history books and start reading. Story ideas always come to me that way.

Hi, Erica. I just finished reading "The Gentleman Spy". I loved the book. I noticed something on page 74 where it says Partridge some time to ruminate, and he never spoke in haste, so Marcus wasn't surprise. Shouldn't that word be surprised?
