How do you get inspired to write?

Anthony Harrington I don't think one gets inspired to write, the desire is always there. You get inspired to write a specific story though based upon a myriad of things. Perhaps it is a news story that terrifies you, or a social injustice that you wish would have ended differently, or perhaps it was culled from a dream/nightmare. Inspiration for a story can strike anywhere. I typically carry a notepad or have my cell phone nearby to record a memo about an idea.
