I'm fortunate to have many irons in the fire at all times. If I get stuck on one project I usually just switch to something else--from music to nonfiction, from fiction to nonfiction. If I'm on a deadline, though, the best thing for me is to stand up and walk around...and, ahem, talk to myself.
