For some reason, I often get inspired by a place. For instance, my upcoming book is inspired by a small beach town close to where I live; Secret Witness was inspired by visiting Bristol and the Camera Obscura there; One for Sorrow, two for Joy, was inspired by the trip round the world I took in 1994.
