Angelika Regossi:
In order to experience joy, must there be suffering? Sorry for the off-the-wall question but I'm doing a bit of non-scientific research with authors on this topic. Your background is amazing. If you have time, who is your favorite classical composer? Thank you.
Angelika Regossi
Yes, of course! You can feel the joy much stronger when you know, what is suffering. It's like enjoying food more after the hunger or a drink after the thirst.
In general, I think that suffering is a good stimulation for success and higher achievements in life for strong people. For the weak - suffering is destruction. While the strong will fight to climb out of the suffering hole, the weak will sled in it deeper with depression, drugs, or alcohol.
I like this quote from the Lebanese-American creative man of the last century: Khalil Gibran. He said: "Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars."
You asked about the music. I like to listen to Armenian classical composer Aram Khachaturian. For his life-full compositions, intensive rhythm, and exotic approach. He was and still is a pearl of Armenia, despite that he was a member of so much hated Communist party.
Thank you for reaching out! Success with your research.

Angelika Regossi:
Angelica, Thank you for responding. I need to order a couple books for friends so I will order this one also. I also like strong women in my novels but the stories are fiction and very adventurous. I could use a good critic for my books that is not afraid to be honest. If you have time you might give "Night Sounds" a read and let me know what you think. Not in question format is this? Ray

Angelika, I am surprised you sent me a note. I do not in general respond to social media. This is a new venture for me and I am very unsophisticated with the cyber world. How did you know I would reply to your invitation to talk? My venture into the publishing world has been a long time waiting. The characters in my stories have been very patient. Which of your books would you suggest I read first? Ray
