How do you get inspired to write?

A.R. Donenfeld-Vernoux I always wanted to write, but was in a demanding business I loved, plus husbands, lovers, friends and kids I spent every spare second with. Now I'm retired, kids grown and gone, husbands & lovers long gone, but I'm still gifted with friends and plenty of time to write. All those stories that have danced around in my mind waiting to be birthed are spilling out onto the computer screen faster than I can type. At the moment I'm working on a memoir, two novels and an anthology of short stories. Sometimes I think I should go back to work, at least then I had weekends off.
