The idea for my next Freckles adventure came to me when we took a trip to the mountains. I was reading a book about friendship, and wondered what adventure Freckles might have while visiting the mountains. The two ideas merged, and the next Freckles story became a story of what it means to be a true friend, set in the mountains during the early fall.
