Ellen Bryant Lloyd
It all started when I was assigned a book writing project in the 3rd grade (thank you, Mrs. Hill!). I had to write and illustrate an original story, then bind it together as a book. It even had a title page, table of contents and dedication page. I loved every aspect of this project, and knew then that I wanted to be a writer when I grew up. I still have this book, and share it with students during my school visits.
