How do you get inspired to write?

J. Carrell Jones It was Star Trek. The "Captain" of our ship (a STARFLEET International Club Chapter at the time), the USS Shadowstar, Lee Birdine wrote stories about the crew's adventure. I was so impressed with his writing that I wanted to write my own stories. That was an interesting time. It was a good time. My character was a Vulcan raised by a Human, and thus he often displayed human emotions. I wrote the stories back in the late 1980s. A special note: He started off as a Security Office and later became a Starship Captain. This was sometime before Voyager.
