Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Monica Joseph I had read a couple of these books before going off on the motorcycle trip. There didn't appear to be any books written by an older female about such travel so the idea of filling that gap appealed.My book is a travel memoir and I wanted to narrate each step of the journey as if writing a fascinating letter with verve and immediacy to achieve a lively narrative. That was the challenge and the material was at my fingertips.
