Goodreads asked Jay Wilson:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Jay Wilson Pay attention to everything you read. When I read a book, not only do I enjoy the story, but I evaluate how the author executes everything. I pay attention to character personalities, dialog, story design, twists, and everything else I can pull out of it.

Therefore, read a lot and practice even more. Learning to write well is a very time consuming process. True, anyone can learn to write in any given language, but telling a story takes a lot of reading and practice. There's only one thing more important than those two than this final bit of advice: you need to be passionate about your story. If you are more passionate about making it as a writer than telling a story, then it'll show in your writing.

Good luck everyone!
