Some teachers don't want to be teaching in these tough classrooms. Do you think it's because they also think that 10% will never get it? Also what social services are the best to help broken families especially the 10% previously mentioned?

Jose Vilson Great question Steve, and it looks like you read the book. There is definitely a chance that teachers think that the students will never get it. Some of it might be justified, but other times, we need to provide the right environments for our students. Frankly, I could list the best, but it really depends on the situation and every solution will be both local and systemic. If the school has social services, but can't handle socio-emotional issues in classes, then that might ruin the services' effects on the student(s).
