Goodreads asked Sharon E. Anderson:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Sharon E. Anderson Keep writing. No matter what anyone says, everyone has a story to tell. I used to think my work had to be perfect, and as much as I wish it were so, nothing is ever perfect. So keep writing. You may not be perfect, but the more you write, the better you'll get.
Also, take advantage of as many opportunities as you can to learn - whether it be in the classroom, at a workshop, a conference... Read! Not just books on writing - but read good writing - Find the lyricism in Virginia Woolf, read short stories and plays--take a notepad and pen with you everywhere. Try everything. It'll happen. If you have the passion, it'll happen.
