What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Ann Major I am a writer because I want to write. I have been educated to do other things, but when I write I feel a cleansing of my soul. So, I am always called to do it. I love having written a book. I feel that I have played a difficult game and won. Writing a book is challenging. I always wonder if I can successfully execute my vision. I never do. I always start with a vision and then a different book emerges. So I like being surprised. If you are a control freak, writing may not be the career for you. You have to tolerate the whimsical. I approach writing as if it's play. I have my good days and my bad days. The main thing is to keep going.
