How do you get inspired to write?

David H. Falloure That comes from a lot of directions. Sometimes a conversation with one of my sons or friend will spark something. Others, I will see or hear about a story that is just incredible. Hannibal's invasion of Italy comes to mind, as does the sacrifice of Sparta or the Taffy 3 sailors in WWII. In Sheer Will, nothing quite as heroic in the epic sense, still, the nothingness with which the Port of Houson began and how it overcame all the odds to become a major US port just boggles the mind. It was a no-quit proposition.
