I have an unusual story in that I never wrote before I published my first book. I didn't keep journals, I didn't write poetry. I was actually dared to write a book and it was the dare that intrigued me. Little did I know that I would find my passion. Like a book, the best thing about my life has been the plot twists and becoming a writer was a major one. I always tell people to be aware when a door opens. You have the choice to walk through or not. I will be forever grateful to the friend who uttered those words, "I dare you". I feel so lucky that I had enough energy and curiosity to walk through the door she opened.
