Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Gary Anderson A few years ago, I had an idea for a short story that involved bovines overrunning a vegetarian colony. Thankfully, the short story never did get written, however, the premise stayed with me. I liked the idea of such docile animals becoming intelligent, and what would they do as sentient beings. Add to that, my love for gritty noir, and the result was Gwousz Affair. A scifi-noir offering that's been described as everything from Kafkaesque to Burroughs-like to Swiftian.
