When writing my first novel, I had trouble finding an editor that understood the action and adventure genre. How would you recommend locating an editor that understands the genre?

Mark Greaney I didn't find an editor myself- I found an agent who agreed to represent my book, and he promoted my book to about 10 editors, 9 of who passed on the book. Many editors to read unsolicited manuscripts, but an agent is a safer bet- they know which editors are acquiring what types of books, and who would be the best fit.

It's tough to get an agent, but in my case it worked out.
