I have just finished writing The Beaulieu Vanishing, a mystery novel set in late 15th century England. The central character, Francis Cranley, first appeared in my 2013 novel The Woodville Connection but the new book can be read as a standalone if you haven't read the first one. I am very pleased with it and I hope my readers will like it, too!
The Beaulieu Vanishing will be published by the summer. In the meantime, I am working on a young adult time-shift novel which I started several years ago and then put away in a drawer in order to concentrate on The Woodville Connection. My teenage daughter has been badgering me to complete the YA story since she found the manuscript a few months ago. After that, I have to decide whether to dive straight into another Francis Cranley mystery or to begin another historical project I've had in mind for some time.
