How do you get inspired to write?

Lia Mack I'm an activist at heart - and a hopeless romantic. So you add the two together, and BAM! Life surprises you with constant 'what if?' moments that just make me stop and think... and that's when ideas start flooding in. Most play out like a movie in my mind, from start to finish. Of course there's still the need to flesh out all the moving parts, but the heart of the story always comes to me in a flash and it sticks with me to the point that I can't shake it. So I have to write.
