Goodreads asked Tracee Lydia Garner:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Tracee Lydia Garner I call Writer's Block Lazy Block. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen but I do believe it shouldn't happen often because there's just too many ideas. A couple of things that work for me:
1. A letter to self about my characters about fears and thoughts about the book - there is usually a larger issue besides just being blocked and idealess
2. READING - good old fashioned reading, challenge yourself if you are stuck to read two books in two days or one day whichever is harder
3. The Encouragement File - I have little notes (too few and far between)but clips, e-mails and message book comments, that I go back over them from supporting friends, fans and even strangers that have read my books for the very first time and had something wonderful to share. Reading over their kindness just lets me know that I did this once or twice or five times now, I can do it again!
