How do you get inspired to write?

Sonya Rhen Everything in the world around me inspires me to write; my family, my friends, world events... everything. Catching that one idea and sitting down to write it is harder. Sometimes I'm motivated to do it on my own other times it takes external forces, like friends asking for it or doing writing challenges like NaNoWriMo. Ultimately, writing is something that I've always wanted to do, so I think that inspiration comes from inside me.
