You have to come up with three cases for every book -- that's like triple the number of plots! How do you come up with all of those stories?

Angela Misri Hmm... when I first started writing this series the truth is that I saw each casebook as its own story. Kind of like Stephen King's Green Mile, which he released as small paperbacks. When I started to submit to publishers I got the feedback that I needed to either 'fill out' the casebook into a 60k novel OR that I needed to put a few casebooks together to form a 60k novel. I chose the latter because it felt less like I was diluting my stories. So the problem has never been casebooks. I have more casebooks than I can manage!
