The brain is a great recycler and it uses everything you do, everything you experience and put into it as inspiration. So, I read a lot, I watch shows and films. I feed my brain with texts (and also a little life) which hopefully get turned into something different and worth while.
Most of the time, these 'new' ideas are not really good, but sometimes you find a golden nugget among all those bad ideas and turn it into a story that actually makes it onto the page.
