Recently wrote my first novel, a valiant but failed attempt. Getting underway on a second one. Guess I'm glutton for punishment. My question: Does it get any easier after such a colossal let down? Or is there something wrong with me :)

There's nothing wrong with you at all! I think most writers and authors have what are called "trunked" works. In other words, work we've put away. The first novel I wrote wasn't the first novel I published. Keep trying. You'll get there.

Loved your trilogy! But I was left with many questions about Aleta, and wondering why wouldn't she be curious about her true history. I really wanted some backstory there. Doesn't she wonder about her true parents, her birthplace, or if she has any siblings...? Also, wouldn't it be a cool novella? Just an idea
