Stay on Goodreads. Read a lot, write a lot. Be willing to write outside of your comfort zone (I'm no Dashiell Hammett, but that has yet to stop me from working on a manuscript for a detective novel). Don't be bashful about discussing your craft with others (as a natural introvert, this has been a tough lesson for me to learn). And never, never, NEVER forget that you're doing what you love.
