I LOVE the idea you had for this series, manipulate man made objects into something magical.I love Ceony! I am not used to reading young adult so I felt myself reaching deeper but I gather young adult authors don't get as technical into things or thoughts of character.Being so intrigued with your premise for this series, do you wish you wrote for a different genre to be able to really play it out?

While The Paper Magician is a simplistic story, I would never say YA authors don’t get technical. There are hundreds of complex novels written for teenaged eyes—they’re an audience that’s constantly evolving, which can make writing YA a challenge! I wrote the book the way it is because that’s how I envisioned it: sweet, simple, and short. So no regrets here. :)

Hi! I have truly enjoyed your Paper Magician books. I find myself wishing, however, that I could also read the entire series from Emery's perspective. There is so much that takes place when he is away from Ceony that it would be fun to fill in those gaps. I'd also just love to know what he's thinking when he stays up all night folding paper dogs and snowflakes and such... :) Do you have any plans to do that?

Hi, I belong to a book club and suggested we read Followed By Frost as my book this year. I think it would be a great discussion. The problem is our library doesn't have it and when I requested it they said they only by newly published books. I was very disappointed and considered just buying 5 books and loaning them out to all 15 of our members. Hubby said no so do you have any suggestions?
